SEPTEMBER 2010
I have wanted to study this course for a long time now. I have often looked at it but never actually got around to applying.
On the 18th of September both of my children went off to University and the house is quiet for the first time in many years. This is now my time to do what I want. I applied for the course online and waited for my 'supplies' to arrive.
My parcel arrived, like a Christmas present all wrapped in red tissue paper, very exciting. I have received my email with username, and my tutor is Caroline Bloor. I had a quick browse through, sent my Student Profile to my tutor, and set up various things online, including this blog.
I received an email back from Caroline and we spoke on the phone. Now all there is to do is get started....
What I want from the course is to learn as much about Photography as I can in an ordered fashion, I have taken courses before and they often overlap or miss something important to you. I want to work through from start to finish. My intentions are to complete the Degree and I want my work to be assessed.
I am excited as to where this course may take me. I have limited knowledge of photography and photographers at this time and look forward improving my skills and learning as much as possible.
I have just been to Chichester, the hotel we stayed in had a lovely little photographic book with some wonderful black and white pictures in, it was complimentary for anyone who wanted to keep one, so i have picked one up, nice to refer to, a lovely varied selection of pictures. This is the first item for my collection.
