The Royal Wedding

Just prior to the wedding these pictures were in the Sunday Times, a hilarious selection of spoof Royal Wedding Photos by Alison Jackson.

She graduated with a BA Hons degree from Chelsea College of Art and Design as an adult student.  She is known for her 'lookalikes' who are in surprising and shocking situations - one being of Diana and Dodi, with a mixed race love child.

I love these shots particularly the one of Camilla and Carole, very funny and 'nearly' true.  I don't normally like photos that have been adjusted or trick photography giving a false image but I think these are very clever and just far fetched enough that we know its not true, then I don't feel deceived.

I have looked at some of her other work online, but these are my favourite.

FAIRGROUND MUSIC
THE WORLD OF PORTHCAWL FUNFAIR - (Images Eamon Bourke)

Here are a couple of photos from the above book which were similar to the ones I had taken at Southend.  So I have entered the book photos alongside mine... just a bit of fun.

Depth of Field

I like this shot because you would naturally expect the cricketer to be in focus, but in this case the focus is on the crowd, I like the effect. This shows a long depth of field and the picture above is a more shallow depth of field, when the focus is on the cricketer.

Implied Triangle

The implied triangle here is the models head being the apex, and the two birds as the other two points.
